Happy New Years! With the start of 2018, I thought I would write a quick recap and share my favorite highlights of the past year. 2017 was definitely a challenge mentally, physically, and emotionally, but it was also one the best years of my life. In just a single year, countless opportunities knocked upon my door, I traveled to so many different countries and cities, built long-lasting relationships, and was able to accomplish the goals that I set for myself. 2017 was definitely my year for self-discovery.

January: Traveled all over Europe to London, Paris, Rome, and Vatican City, celebrated New Years under the Arc Du Triumph, met the Pope, threw coins into the Trevi Fountain, had a tea party at Kensington Palace, stood at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and saw the Mona Lisa in person.
February: Modeled for JYG in Tet Show’s Fashion Show and started The Clothing Statement, and published my first blog post ever.

March: Traveled to Duluth with great friends, hiked around Gooseberry Falls, went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, and spent an hour trying to pop open an apple cider bottle.
April: Designed the Snapchat Geofilter for Philippine Culture Night and implemented my first ever social media campaign.

May: Became Marketing Chair for VSAM, went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with my family, and visited Seattle, Washington for the first time with some of my closest friends.
June: Became a rep for Serengetee and Mikasa Beauty, these were the first brands that ever reached out to me to collaborate and made me take blogging a lot more seriously.

July: Started doing lots of collabs for The Clothing Statement with fellow bloggers, photographers, and models. This was definitely one of my favorite months as I was able to produce content continuously for The Clothing Statement and wasn’t restricted with other obligations.

August: Took a hiatus from blogging to travel to Asia where I visited Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, ended up on the news in Singapore because my family was stuck on Sky Tower in Sentosa for 4-5 hours, reconnected with my family in Vietnam, and saw the place that I was born.
September: Started sophomore year of college, took on my position as marketing chair for VSAM and Fashion Show Coordinator for Tet Show 2018.

October: I gained four mentees and started working really hard to be a good mentor for them.
November: I turned 20, went to FACT 2017 in Illinois, and attended a Strategic Socials event with Lamar where I met some of the coolest Instagram foodies, bloggers, and chefs.
December: Modeled in the Feast of Nations Fashion Show, hosted a holiday party, got hired at CLAgency, and spent NYE with some of the most amazing people.

That’s it for today’s post! With this new year, I want to continue creating quality content for this blog, strive for bettering myself and my relationships, as well as push myself to try things that I’ve never done before. Hopefully you guys will stick with me (despite my lack of content lately) and come along during my new journey. May 2018 be a good year for us all!
