For this post, I’ve had the privilege of working with two individuals that I truly admire. First and foremost, my friend Phuong Tran, who is an extremely talented photographer that I’ve worked with on numerous shoots. This is our fourth shoot together but she never ceases to amaze me with her time, dedication, and passion for her art. Secondly, Tyler Vongphachanh, my dear friend, fellow VSAM board member, and the photographer of my very first look book. Tyler and I have different definitions of street style, which shows just how much you can play with styling street wear. Without further adieu, we hope you enjoy our look book!

Interview With Tyler Vongphachanh
Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
Tyler: I actually get a lot of my fashion inspiration from social media influencers I follow on Instagram.
How did your sense of style develop?
Tyler: I think that my sense of style is always changing, depending on where I spend my time. I’ve been really into street wear lately because of how easy and comfortable the clothing can be.
Do you feel pressured to follow mainstream trends?
Tyler: I definitely don’t feel pressured to follow mainstream trends, but I do look at what everyone around me is wearing at the moment so that I can see if it’s something that I’d want to include in my wardrobe.
Because it’s a street style look book, what are your must-haves for street wear apparel?
Tyler: Must-haves for me are comfortable/versatile outfits. Joggers and hoodies are my go-to outfits year round, as you can see from the outfits I wore in the photo shoot!
