Throughout the years, Christian Dior has brought us some of the most luxurious beauty products around and has built a a strong reputation as one of the most stylish beauty brands in the world. Today, I’m going to be writing a review on three of the new products from Dior’s exclusive BACKSTAGE cosmetics collection.
Disclaimer: While I was sent these products for free by Dior and Influenster, I’ve been using these products for the past two months to give you an honest review that is 100% my own opinion.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, $40
Overview: This foundation comes in 40 different shades (I’m in the color 1N) with a natural, matte finish and medium, buildable coverage that’s waterproof and sweat-resistant. It’s perfect for all skin types whether you have sensitive, normal, dry, oily, or combination skin. It can also be used to hide minor imperfections on your neck, shoulders, legs, or anywhere that needs coverage. I definitely think I will purchase this foundation once I run out!
How to use: I generally use this foundation using a wet beauty blender. My favorite tool to apply this foundation with is the Sonia Kashuk Makeup Blender Sponge ($7). I apply about a quarter-sized amount onto my face blending it outwards and onto my neck. This foundation is extremely buildable. If you want to achieve full-coverage, simply apply two layers of the foundation and set it with translucent powder. My favorite powder at the moment is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Power ($38).

Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette, $45
Overview: This face palette is designed to suit all skin tones and includes two highlighters—one white and one golden—as well as two blush shades—one rosy and one bronze—that can be applied to the cheekbones or as bronzer. These powders are extremely blendable and are highly-concentrated. They’re shimmery, but not to the point where it looks like a glitter bath bomb exploded on your face— instead, it gives you a nice and natural shine. This has definitely become my new favorite makeup palette and it’s my go-to whenever I’m on the go since it’s so compact and lightweight!
How to use: I use the bronze blush shade as bronzer by applying it with an angled brush to the hallows of my cheeks, temples, and jawline. I then apply the rosy blush shade to my cheekbones, blending it in an upwards motion. Afterwards, I use the golden highlighting shade on the areas that I usually like to highlight which includes my cupid’s bow, the bridge of my nose, and the top of my cheekbones. I finish off my makeup with a setting spray. Right now I’m using the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Mist ($15).

Diorshow Waterproof Mascara, $30
Overview: This mascara is really nice if you like a very natural and lengthening look, but it really wasn’t what I was expecting. I personally like a lot more volume, but I found that this mascara didn’t hold my curls nor did it give me more definition. While I probably wouldn’t purchase this mascara on my own, it did lengthen my lashes and I do like that this mascara’s formula doesn’t include parabens, sulfates, nor phthalates!
How to use: I like to use this mascara after I’ve applied eyeshadow, eyeliner, and curled my lashes. It’s pretty self explanatory if you’ve ever used mascara before but a pro tip is to wiggle the brush as you apply the product onto your lashes and to curl your lashes both before and after use to make sure the curls stay in tact.
That’s it for my review of Dior’s BACKSTAGE collection. Once again, I would like to thank Dior and Influenster for sending me these complimentary items to try. Some of these items have definitely become my go-to staple products!
Have you tried any of these products? Which items are you most excited to try? Let me know in the comments!
