With 2019 right around the corner, I thought I would write a quick recap and share my favorite highlights of the past year. In just a single year, I’ve encountered many different opportunities, discovered even more about myself, and developed relationships that I want to last a lifetime. Here’s an inside look of my favorite moments of 2018.
…
January: Collaborated with my friends James and Jenny on a Youtube video, coordinated a fashion show with Leondardo, and did a singing performance for a talent show.
February: The Super Bowl was held in Minneapolis, modeled for Kelly Nguyen in the fashion show that I co-coordinated, and officially started dating my boyfriend, Harrison.
March: Went on a life-changing retreat with my student organization, challenged myself by learning how to dance and performing a sexy hip-hop piece, and hosted a Galentines party with my closest friends.
April: Introduced Harrison to my family, became president of the Vietnamese Student Association of Minnesota, and supported my friend Allison at the (RE)generation fashion show where she was a featured designer.
May: Spent a day in a luxurious condo in downtown Minneapolis with my CLAgency coworkers, finished my sophomore year of college, and started my social media internship at ServeMinnesota.
June: Went to Chicago with my friends and saw Madison Beer in concert.
July: Traveled to San Francisco for 2 weeks with Harrison and my best friend Trong, saw Lombard Street, and visited the Golden Gate Bridge.
August: Saw Sam Smith in concert, went to the Minnesota State Fair, and got promoted at CLAgency to Social Media Director.
September: Started my junior year of college and attended Minneapolis Fashion Week.
October: Had a photoshoot with ThisFem to promote their clothing line and dressed up for Halloween with Harrison.
November: Turned 21, had a retreat with my VSAM board members, and celebrated Thanksgiving with my loved ones.
December: Was featured in Brenda Tran’s Jungle Azn Magazine and celebrated Christmas with my friends and mine and Harrison’s families.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read about my highlights in 2018. It has been a wonderful year filled with love, light, and laughter and I can’t wait to start 2019 with positivity and an open mind!
